Every child is entitled to a top class education and equality of access; only by supporting local schools can this be achieved.

The Government should trust teachers and support this most important profession, our children deserve the best.

Then look at where some of the strongest opposition to state schools has come from - newspapers like those owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Rebekah Brooks has just testified - under oath, remember - that she had never thought that if she published the names of sex-offenders it would lead to reprisals and that innocent people might get hurt.

Once again one it was left with only two alternatives: that Murdoch et al are amongst the dimmest people who have held any position of responsibility in this country in recent years or they are bare-faced, unprincipled liars . There is no third possibility.

Keep up the good work Barbara. Would like to hear more about your school.

Rebekkah Brooks could hardly have guessed that these wonderful schools of yours would have failed to teach the difference between a paedophile and a paediatrician.

I remember working with a group of students after 9/11. I had them in an computer room writing up their thoughts about the event.

Because the children were free to express their own thoughts it became apparent that we needed to address issues like it really not being at all necessary to bomb the aborigines....

I'd like to see the syllabus you'd write to try ensure kids were taught the right stuff, that they got it and that they never got it wrong Ricky.

Personally I'd just write in some reflective lessons on important topics where students are asked to write about their own ideas of issues so that we can work out what it is we need to sort out..... and I'd also leave a little space so that exercises like these can be done to explore major news issues as and when they arise.

I never mentioned that incident. She implied 'any reprisals' .

Do you think that Gove will testify under oath that he honestly never thought that if he shut down the infrastructure of state education there might be any negative consequences?
