The latest free school to promise small class sizes is the former New Labour advisor's free school in Newham, Newham School 21. What I don't understand is how so many free schools can promise smaller class sizes unless they've been promised better funding than your average state school -- or are paying their staff less money, in which case how can they attract the top teachers that they're all promising?
I think it's time free schoolers came clean about this one, even if they are Labour supporters!
