Commons education select committee urges Gove to think again about his academic curriculum for all.

Graham Stuart MP, chairman of the select committee, said, "If the curriculum doesn't stimulate children, they will switch off, and the chances are that they will disrupt other children's learning. The onus is now on the government to draw up a national curriculum which engages all children and meets their aspirations. Then let teachers decide how to apply it."

Let’s hope Mr Gove listens to his fellow MPs.

It's interesting that Graham Stuart is a Tory MP, who has raised concerns about the Academies bill being rushed through...

Fascinating to note that the report DOES not present our schools as broken:

"Behaviour standards in schools are high for the great majority of young people. The misconduct of a few represents a small percentage of the seven million pupils in the school system."
