All kids deserve to be taught using proven strategies

Doing well at school is a pathway to a better life.

All students, regardless of the school they attend, deserve to taught in ways that maximise their chance of success.

School teachers are hard-working, busy people. We need to help them keep abreast of what the research says without:
* drowning them in a sea of academia
* being selective by only presenting research that promotes our own entrenched views

I'm a past teacher and school principal with too much time on my hands - time I use to help my colleagues by summarizing the research they don't have time to read.

Shaun - any summaries of educational research would be welcome on this site. As you say, teachers don't have time to plough through academic research so summaries are welcome. That's where the Sutton Trust's Education Toolkit and Mike Bell's Evidence Based Teachers Network are so useful.
