This is a short film to raise awareness about asbestos in schools, told by Sarah Stoddart, a retired primary school teacher who is dying from Mesothelioma, an asbestos related illness she contracted whilst working in a school. Sarah died shortly after recording this film. It was her wish to make the film to highlight this problem for all school staff, parents and especially children - who are most at risk from asbestos exposure. The film is made by Charlie Stoddart, Sarah's son and myself Geoffrey, I am a close member of the family.
This petition was set up by Lucie Stephens whose mum, Sue, also a teacher, died from asbestos exposure. We support this campaign to get asbestos removed from our schools.
