Divide and rule competition within state schools is wrong, but worse it doesn't work

I'm a new governor at The Bridge, looking to ensure it maintains its excellence and outstanding ratings for its community, concerned that recent education legislation encourages even Special Schools like ours to seek to compete and move away from what should be the first, last and only consideration of a good local school... working to meet and exceed the needs, and drive up the aspirations, of the local community it serves.
