About a decade or so ago this issue seemed to be the main reason for the breakdown
in a Labour MP's relationship, which seems a bit drastic. Fortunately, my wife fell in with my wishes to educate our children at the local comprehensive, (the decision with primary school wasn't terribly difficult). I should point out that this was an exception to the family rule.
I do know of one couple who had an excellent local village primary school, but the mother moved house to send the kids private which resulted in her husband having a longer commute into work.
Anyone know people where school preferences becomes a very divisive problem in households?
