I don't know if anyone else saw this in the Huffington Post UK version about pressure being put on a primary school to convert to academy status within a certain time frame......

Whatever next?

This totally fits my experience in Louth.

I hope people are going to be brave and stand up against the madness that is engulfing our education system.

I am trying to find out more from a contact who claims that the schools where he worked as an administrator converted last year on the back of a phone call from DE offering stacks of additional funding. I think in the real world it is called a bribe.

If that is true it is shocking. And Gove must be held to account, so if that is what is happening, Gove must go. Where it has happened, people must be brave enough to stand up against it.

Does anyone know who this DfE official is?

Who it is won't matter. My guess is that they are all up to it, and it is samctioned by Gove.

In much the same way as Coulson is alleged to have sanctioned phone hacking?
